JUNE 2014 – Commercial Space Milestone achieved by strategic partnership between Starfighters Aerospace and Final Frontier Design (FFD) .
Partnership’s goal is the development, integration and optimization of FFD 3G Space Suit to be used for many specific flight profiles for both high altitude research and suborbital point-to-point pathfinder missions.
Tests and developments are being conducted both at Starfighters Aerospace at the Kennedy Space Center and at FFD headquarters in NY.

The 3G Space Suit is an IVA safety garment designed to protect pilots in the high altitude environment. Integration with the jets’ life support and ejection systems, and design optimization for the fighter’s cockpit are undergoing. The 3G suit enables SFA high altitude research flights and suborbital point-to-point pathfinder missions within the year.
The 3G Space Suit is an advanced full pressure garment with a flame and tear resistant cover layer, integrated communications, cooling, and mobility systems, and a highly size adjustable layout. The 3G designed to be is extremely light weight, mobile, and comfortable, even under pressure.
SFA’s Director of Flight Operations, Captain Piercarlo Ciacchi, said “FFD’s 3G suitrepresents a very advanced, light weight, very comfortable product ready to go into operation. I have tested the suit pressurized in the cockpit of our fighters in very many different scenarios and am convinced it outperforms our needs for safety and capability.”
Starfighters Aerospace President, Mr Rick Svetkoff, is confident these pressure suits will allow Starfighters to take full advantages of its Supersonic Fleet, current the largest one commercially available.
